There are approximately 35 members in the company at any one time, aged 12 years and above, and we meet each September, rehearsing every Sunday and some evenings until February.

 

Auditions & performances

 

Membership of the company is by audition which takes place over a weekend, usually in July.

 

Performances take place during February half term, avoiding clashes with academic work or exams and allowing members to perform in the evenings and recover the following day.

 

Costs

Members pay £80 membership fee which includes rehearsals/production, workshops, T-shirt, administration costs etc. Additional family members then pay £40 each. Additional workshops and theatre trips are sometimes available at extra cost.

 

Behaviour

 

The reputation of Encore is extremely high and this is largely due to the high standard of professionalism, individual behaviour and self-discipline of our company members. To maintain and build on this reputation it is important that all members understand what is expected of them and so we have a clearly laid out set of values that members are required to sign up to.

 

Bullying, theft and discrimination are under no circumstances tolerated.
